SoulScapes is a search for awe — for the feeling of being in the presence of something vast that transcends our ordinary understanding of the world.
Bringing together photographs from several bodies of work, including The Shape of Silence and Deities, SoulScapes explores the transformative power of wilderness and our relationship with the natural world.
A book of photographs made in the desert, it is not a travel book. Geographical references are intentionally absent, leaving space for imagination and elemental ambiguity. Black and white throughout, meditative in pace, SoulScapes is not simply a book to look at but an experience to be felt.
Through image, film and the book as an object, SoulScapes invites the viewer to slow down, set aside the rational mind and rediscover a sense of wonder.
SoulScapes is published as a numbered limited edition of 450 copies, priced at £80. A special edition of 50 copies is also available, priced at £1,200, presented in a bespoke handmade wooden box with a framed photograph printed on brushed silver aluminium.
